Age of 16s by chassis number?

Hello to all on the forum!
Can anybody tell me if it's possible to find out the exact build date/time of my 16s oettinger golf mk1 by looking at the chassis/vin number? My car I believe was originally bought owned in Monaco and also British registered I think at the same time???

From the top of my head it might be difficult to find the exact date
As the mk1 16s were assemble in france
They will receive some golf gti complete
The bbs kit and wheels from one side
The engine from oettinger
Strip them and reassemble them
It was only between 1981 and 1983
But you should find it on the carte grise (registration papers)

If it s a german built one they should come up with a plate with all the engine infos on
